7.0. Missed Lessons

We required no less than 4 hours notice (in writing, SMS preferred to 0497 076 238) for any lesson cancellations due to illness, poor pool quality, adverse weather, or absences. Less than 4 hours notice will result in forfeiture of fees.

Early morning lessons (before 9:30am start) that are affected by weather must be cancelled no later than 10pm the night before via SMS to your instructor. Whilst weather forecasts are predictions, and the weather can change, we do need as much notice as possible if you wish to cancel. Your teacher will swim in any weather (if safe), however if you think your children will not swim in cold/rain (or, if lightning is forecast), please cancel by 10pm the night prior. Lessons scheduled to commence after 9:30am require 4+ hours notice.

8.0. Sick Students
  • If in doubt, leave them out.
  • Please consider your childā€™s health as a priority.

9.0. Students on Holidays

1 week’s notice required – we cannot guarantee a new date, so it is best that you do not book in a lesson on a known holiday date (eg, skip that date on your invoice, and carry on to the end of the payment block). If your teacher has back-to-back swimmers, typically they will try to shuffle so as not to have a gap on the week you are away, so please give as much notice as you can.

10.0. Pool owner responsibilities

It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure that their pool is clean and free of debris, algae, and is chemically sound. If your instructor arrives and the pool is unclean or unsafe to use, your lesson will not go ahead and your fees will be forfeited. We recommend that you check your pool no less than 4.5 hours before your lesson start time, to ensure you have time to cancel a lesson within our cancellation terms in the case that the pool is unfit for use.

The pool owner must ensure there is a First Aid Kit available for use, the pool cover to be removed before the lesson, and that the pool/sides are obstacle free.

Parents/Guardians must stay within earshot of the pool in case of emergencies, however we do prefer parents/guardians stay in the pool area to watch the lesson and see your child’s progress. Staying in the pool area also gives parents an opportunity to ask questions of the instructor about a particular skill or practise tips.
